To make things clearer, if you are in a restaurant and ask the chef to put more flavor into your dish, you need to say what exactly kind of flavor you want. Your want spicy? Sweet? Bitter? Or something else. Because from the perspective of the chef, the cuisine is already finished and he doesn’t have anything else in his mind that must be added. Thus, specifying to the chef what specific flavor you want is the first thing, you cannot just say “please add more flavor to my dishes”.
